Meet our flight staff...
Brian Addis:
Brian Addis, Lake & Air Chief Pilot and Instructor, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Excelsior College in Albany, NY and is currently pursuing a graduate degree from the University of Minnesota. Brian’s career includes extensive experience in flight instruction and aviation education as well as corporate aviation and airline training, as well as over 31,000 hours of flight experience. Brian’s focus has remained on training and safety within the aviation community and specifically the seaplane community, and is an expert in human factors and accident prevention.
Brian holds an ATP certificate, is a single-engine, multi-engine, and instrument flight instructor, and holds an advanced and instrument ground instructor certificate. Brian also serves as a Designated Pilot Examiner for private, instrument, and commercial ratings as well as single-engine seaplane ratings. Brian’s involvement in the seaplane community includes over 30 years of active involvement in the Minnesota Seaplane Pilot’s Association.
Rachel Norman:
Rachel Norman, Pilot and Instructor with Lake & Air, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation from St. Cloud State University and has completed graduate work in technology education through St. Cloud State University. Rachel’s career includes flight and ground instruction, airline aircraft systems and regulatory training, curriculum development, and most recently, technical support and customer service for Wipaire, Inc.
Rachel holds a commercial certificate, is a single-engine, multi-engine, and instrument flight instructor, and holds an advanced and instrument ground instructor certificate. Active in the aviation community for over 10 years, Rachel is committed to aviation safety and continuing education in all areas of aviation.
